Divorce Clinic:
The Scott County Law Library offers a program on the fourth
Saturday of every month during the school year (January-April
and September-December) to
assist with divorce paperwork for people who do not qualify for
legal aid (see the handout for
specifics). Registration is required. Call the Law Library
(952.496.8713) for more information or to register. Monthly Free Family Law Clinic:
The Scott County Law
Library sponsors free family law clinics that give people the opportunity to make a half-hour
appointment to talk to a volunteer attorney for free
regarding general questions about the legal processes of Family
Court. Pre-registration is required, please call the Law Library
at 952.496.8713 to make an appointment. Clinics are the second
Monday of every month (except holidays) from 4-6 pm. Volunteer Lawyers Network - Free Family
Law Phone Advice: The Volunteer
Lawyers Network offers an opportunity for financially eligible
clients to speak over the phone with an experienced family law
attorney for a 20 minute legal consultation. Attorneys are
available to assist qualifying individuals residing or having a
case in Hennepin, Scott or Carver counties.
