Scott County Library 2013 Summer Reading is from June 8 through August 10.  Students experience learning losses when they do not engage in educational activities during the summer, but children who participate in learning activities all summer start their next school year ready to learn.   The free activities at your library will keep you reading and having fun all summer long!  See our Summer Reading video (please note file is rather large) for more information and here’s how to participate after you sign up at your library or online (starting in June):

Earn Prizes:  Earn virtual “badges” for things like minutes of reading, writing reviews, and going to library programs.  You’ll get a free book when you complete 10 badges and a Bookawocky book pack when you complete 20 badges.  Track your badges on paper with our special form OR (NEW!) online with the new Bookawocky website (available in June).

Enter for a chance to win State Fair tickets: Read a book and complete a review (print OR online) form to enter weekly drawings for 4-packs of State Fair tickets (you may only win once).  Turn in reviews from June 8-August 17; drawings will begin in July.

Enjoy free special events and book clubs: Print off a brochure now (kids, teens) or visit your library to grab one.   Program information is also by branch below.  Check the links below for more details and the most current information.
