Meeting Rooms

Heads Up: Our Meeting Room reservation system has changed. If you reserved a meeting room before November 30, 2018, we migrated your booking. Please contact your branch if you have questions.

Free public meeting rooms are available in all of our libraries. Events held in these rooms must be free and open to the public and the room can't be used for commercial purposes.

Most libraries have study rooms suitable for one or two people available on a first come, first served basis.

Reserve meeting rooms online. You'll receive an email confirmation, if your request is approved.

Our full meeting room policy is available for you to read, but here's what you need to know to get started:
  • To reserve a room, submit your request online. All Scott County Library rooms can be reserved online.
  • Before your meeting, review the full meeting room policy.
  • Meeting room use may not interfere with the normal functions of the library.
  • Meeting rooms can be used during library closed hours in Belle Plaine, Elko New Market, Jordan, New Prague and Shakopee. You will need to check out a key with your library card if using a room outside of normal library hours - instructions will be sent with your confirmation email.
  • Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the rooms though you must clean up when you are finished.
  • No audio/visual equipment is available in the rooms or for checkout.

Online Meeting Room Reservations

Please note that you are searching all seven of our libraries. Double check that the room you're reserving is in your preferred library. Once you submit your request, library staff will review it as soon as possible during that library's open hours.

Here's how it works:

  • Submit your reservation. You will receive an email confirming the reservation was submitted.
  • You can request a room up to 90 days in advance, and can have a total of 15 reservations at a time.
  • Staff will review your submitted requests as soon as they can, but only during their normal open hours
  • If at any time you need to cancel, you can either click the cancellation link in your confirmation email or contact the library.
  • Contact library staff if you have any questions
